Happy New Year La Cumbre Comminity,
I hope all of you had a safe and restful holiday with family and friends. Sports lovers have also had plenty of football and basketball (finally).

Los Lonely Boys tickets are now on sale! They are available from Cristina in the office or can be ordered online at www.lobero.com Sunday, February 12th at 7 p.m. in the La Cumbre Theater. This is a fundraiser for the La Cumbre Performing Arts Department. We hope to see all of you at this great event with an amazing well known band. The La Cumbre drumline and Technical Difficulties (teen rock band) will open the show.
Attention 8th grade parents: If you are considering a transfer for 9th grade, the form must be turned into the district office by February 15th and is available at: http://www.sbsdk12.org/schools/transfers/forms/Intra_Transfer_App_2012-13.pdf
Ruthie Foster, coming as part of the UCSB Arts & Lecture series, will perform at La Cumbre on Friday, February 10. A Grammy nominee and Blues award-winner, she will talk (with some music) addressing issues highlighting values of persistence, hard work, and self-confidence. - Tuesday, January 17 – PTA General Meeting at 6:30 in Room 104.
- Friday, January 20 - Minimum Day - End of Semester - All students dismissed at 11:20.
- Friday, January 20 - Zero Period Musical Show in the Theater at 7 p.m.
- Monday, January 23 – Washington School 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
- Tuesday, January 24 – Adams School 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
- Tuesday, January 24 – PIQE starts – 5:30 – 7 in the Theater.
- Wednesday, January 25 – McKinley School 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
- Thursday, January 26 – SBHS Open House.
- Monday, January 30 – Monroe 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
- Tuesday, January 31 – Harding 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
- Wednesday, February 1 - Open House for incoming 7th grade families.
