Weekly Update #17
December 4, 2011
Hi La Cumbre Comminity,
Thanks to all of you for supporting the band, drumline, drill team, and La Cumbre elves at the Holiday Parade on Friday evening. We all had a great time, and we were a definite presence in the parade. A huge thanks to Nancy Mathison, Instrumental Music teacher, for all of her efforts and coordination. A big thanks to Annette Galindo, drill team instructor and her parent helper, Maria Yescas. The students looked great and sounded great. La Cumbre staff gathered at the corner of State and Victoria to cheer us on.
Over the past week, we also had Twin Day on Friday as well as the end of the mid-quarter. Teachers will have entered all grades by Monday afternoon, and we will be mailing out the notices as soon as possible.
The next parade is this coming Saturday on Milpas Street. We have not received complete information yet, and I will send a notice as soon as we hear more information. Please come out at 11:30 a.m. and support our talented students.
