COUNSELING
La Cumbre Junior High is staffed by credentialed counselors who provide academic, social, and personal counseling. Counselors assist students with the social and emotional transition to junior high, course placement and support, and the creation of six year plans—a junior high through high school course schematic that will help students graduate and get into college. They also collaborate with community organizations and make referrals to outside resources when needed. Students are assigned a counselor according to their last name.
